bri + bj’ rehearsal dinner at clos pegase
Bri and BJ love visiting the Napa and Sonoma region so it made perfect sense for them to share their love of California’s beautiful wine country with all their family and friends back in Iowa. They put in so much thought and effort into planning a fun multi day itinerary (with our help of course) to really treat their guests to an unforgettable experience.
Guests had accommodations at the chic Andaz Hotel in Downtown Napa which made for a perfect hub due to its access to local restaurants and tasting rooms. The Andaz Hotel is walking distance to Model Bakery, Gotts, La Chev, and my personal favorite Hog Island Oyster Co. With over 40+ tasting rooms in Downtown Napa alone their guests had the chance to explore the best wines and bubbly Napa has to offer.
Not pictured is night one, their casual welcome reception at Stewart Cellars in Healdsburg. A fun and low key evening with freshly made gourmet pizzas. Stewart Cellars wine is a family owned winery that produces mostly single vineyard wines. If you haven’t had the chance to try their Pinot Noir or Suavignon Blanc be sure to add it to your list!
Day two consisted of a wine tasting adventure curated and organized by our team (that’s a post for another day). So let’s jump into their Rehearsal Dinner at Clos Pegase in Calistoga. The estate itself is unique, jaw dropping, and the property is expansive. Past the sprawling lawn is the entrance to their expansive caves with production on one side and an area for dining and entertainment on the other.
As formal as the setting was, Bri + BJ wanted the cuisine to be delicious but not ostentatious, so gourmet tacos it was! Guests were greeted by a solo guitarist and enjoyed wine and Hors D’oeuvres on the Main Lawn. As the temperature cooled guests were then escorted down the winding caves into a stunning romantic setting for a fun evening before the big day. To add a personal touch, Bri + BJ had note cards with each guest's name and wrote personalized thank you notes to each and every guest. And yes we made sure they wrote sweet notes to each other as well! It made for a very emotional and heartwarming moment as guests realized what was at their place setting. I am pretty sure we created a core memory for them and their guests!
